Meagan Hannan

Meagan graduated from the South Australian college of Natural Medicine in 2012 with a diploma in remedial massage and a strong interest in natural health and wellbeing. Meagan utilises an intuitive approach when assisting with the healing of muscular aches and pains by using trigger point massage, sports massage, deep tissue, cupping therapy, hot rocks and remedial massage. Each treatment is carefully tailored to the individual’s needs which are established in the initial consultation.

Using several remedial techniques, Meagan promotes the flow of blood and lymph, particularly to injured, over worked or stressed areas in the body. This may assist in pain reduction via increasing joint and muscle mobility. Massage is a great opportunity for the body to unwind, relax and repair.

The pressure applied in Meagan’s treatments can either be strong and deep or gentle and shallow, depending on the problem. Problems with the muscles can trigger or radiate pain to other parts of the body. Remedial massage aims to trace the original reason for the pain, tackling both the cause of the problem and the symptoms.

Meagan has a calming and open nature which helps clients feel comfortable and relaxed in the space and allows them to drop into a deeply relaxing state.

For the past 6 months Meagan has been working for On The Road Acupuncture & Remedial alongside her partner Fiona Franklin, providing her services to remote and rural communities who otherwise don’t have access. This gave Meagan insight into assisting with a broad range of conditions.
